The Editorial Session
This look is magazine perfect from her expression to her pose to her style.
An Editorial Session is a “magazine experience” for the model where a story is being told not with words, but with photographic images.
The Editorial Session is a custom shoot in my studio with professional lighting techniques, fashion or dramatic posing, hair and makeup, individual expression, and clean, contemporary backgrounds. You choose the focus of the session; fashion, sports, dance, or anything you are passionate about.
Things to consider while preparing for your session:
hair and makeup - you may want to have your hair cut or colored 1-2 weeks before your session and professionally done for you on photo day.
make sure your fingers and toes are manicured
decide on a focus - your style, athleticism, or talents - and bring several outfits and the appropriate props to your session
looks could include sports gear, dance, formal dresses, sport coats, color, logo wear, ripped jeans, skirts, jackets, crop tops, athleisure, ties, dress shirts….
shoes! express your style and personality by completing your outfit with clean, fun, and fashionable footwear
include accessories like glasses, jewelry, watches, phones, hats, sunglasses, water bottles, buffs, headphones
funky tan lines: your clothing can remedy this if necessary
bring a parent or a friend for fun, feedback, and primping throughout the session
Consider these three concepts when planning for your session:

The space buns are such a stylish look and are perfect with her athleisure outfit.
2. Editorial poses consist of angular and leading lines that give a fashion flare, frame the face, or flatter your form.
Look at her beautiful profile and that definition in her arm!
3. Expression is typically pensive, rather than ‘smile at the camera’.
The Editorial Session is a great complement to the classic outdoor Senior Session; it’s more of a ‘fantasy’ or specialized shoot. It can stand alone as well, as a collection of images in a beautiful Editorial Album or as a set of Metal Prints that create a very cool wall display.
Of course, you will also get files of the images you order to share on all your social media platforms and wow your followers. :)
