What makes Seasons Photography different from other photographers?

Simply put; our love for people and our unique artistic ability to photograph you in an authentic and flattering way. We are a custom studio. When you pick up your artwork it will be tailored for you, framed, finished, and ready to install in your home.

Weddings

What is photojournalism?

Photojournalism is the recording of moments, interactions, expressions, and details throughout your wedding day without us interfering, or manipulating them. Photojournalism documents life and events as they truly are.

Do you take any posed groups?

Yes. Posed portraits have value as well. We love to be able to show the closeness of a family or bridal group by getting them interacting with one another and us. When we are working with groups we prefer to work outdoors; usually at a park or outside of the church where people are more relaxed. We work very efficiently with families and bridal groups and usually by the time the posed groups are done; even the guys have had some fun!

What about portraits of the two of us?

This is some of our favorite time spent at your wedding. Most couples choose to have a few altar shots at the church and the majority of their portraits taken at an outdoor location. Allow about 30 minutes for just the two of you as Josh and I work together taking naturally posed portraits. We will capture special moments of intimacy that happen between you as you enjoy this quiet time together.

What are the advantages of having two photographers cover our wedding day?

There are several advantages to having two of us available on your wedding day. Josh and I complement each other's photographic strengths and styles perfectly and we enjoy working together. Some of the day we are working in two different places which enables us to document more of the activity of the day. Some of the day we are working together, which allows us to get two different angles or effects, some back up coverage, and it gives us an assistant when we need one. We are able to work more quickly, more creatively, and more confidently together and that is a sure advantage for our wedding clients.

"When Sara and I were planning our wedding, I could not understand spending a lot of money on a photographer, but I can say now it was the best money we spent on the wedding. We had some friends over last weekend that had not seen our wedding album yet, well they loved it. Actually, one of the friends got married in September, their "Album" if I can call it that was not even close to the quality you put together for us. As a tight wad, I am comfortable to say if I had to do the wedding over again, Josh and yourself would be priority one. Flowers, I still don't get that one, and Party favors - total waste. Please email or call us to see if we have your wedding date available. We generally book weddings 9-18 months ahead of time. Dates remain open until we receive a signed contract and a $500 retainer from you.



Newborns

I love the miracle represented in a newborn baby. They are never the same as the day they are born. I am very comfortable and have a good rapport with new Moms. My ability to put you at ease as I work with you and your baby in this intimate setting will make this session very special

What does the newborn session include?

The images from your newborn session will be presented in fine art black and white. We offer a few different package choices, so contact us for more information on our newborn session and pricing. All packages include web viewing with password protection so you can share the images of your new baby with your family and friends.

Will you come to our hospital room?

Yes! If at all possible I would like to photograph your newborn on the day or the day after he/she is born. I cannot guarantee my availability for hospital sessions, but if at all possible I will try to arrange a time to come to your room. If you have a scheduled birth, we will reserve a date and time for you.

What if we are unable to arrange your services while we are still in the hospital?

Call us as soon as possible and we will arrange a date to photograph your baby while he/she is still new, within 2-3 weeks of his/her arrival. I will come to your home for this session so you don't have to go out anywhere!



Families and Children

We appreciate the dynamics of loving families and value the importance of documenting your family together throughout the ever-changing seasons of your lives. We enjoy being a part of your lives and serving your family through our photography.

What is new?

We have upgraded our service to you this season. We are now meeting with you for a pre-consultation to determine your goals and share ideas. This way we can photograph your family to provide more custom service to you. We have a new line of exciting products! You will pick up your artwork finished, framed, and ready to install in that special place in your home

Will you come to our home, cabin, or another outdoor location that we like?

Yes! We come to you. Seasons Photography is unique in family and children's photography because we work mostly outdoors where you choose to be. We love the variety of different environments and conditions because this allows uniqueness for each client's photographs. We are going for more than "sit still and smile at the camera" poses. We gently guide your children during the session while constantly looking for postures, expressions, and attitudes that define them. We work with equipment that allows us to follow younger children around and move quickly for the best possible images.

How should we dress?

Keep it simple! Little or no pattern is best for helping to keep the focus on your faces. If you have a group of 4 or more, choose 1-2 colors to coordinate everyone. It is also good to wear something you are comfortable in. Please consider the weather when you choose your clothing. Another thing to consider is where you will place your portrait in your home and how color will complement that space.

What are your rates?

Your family session will include whatever group or individual poses or arrangements you would like. We do not limit the poses or number of individuals to be included. Please allow 1 hour for a family or children's session. Your session will result in approximately 30 images to view at our studio. The family session fee is $75. Time and travel fees apply for sessions outside of 20 miles of our office. Please call or email for our detailed pricing information.



Seniors

If you appreciate beautiful images with natural backdrops and a variety of unique settings and poses, Seasons Photography is a good choice for you. We photograph our seniors at a location of your choice within 15 miles of our office and typically do not use backdrops or an indoor studio.

What if we can't think of a location we would like for our session?

Be creative. Do you know anyone with an old farmstead or lakeside property or do you like a more urban look? Is there a particular place you like to go to hang out? Together we will come up with ideas for a location that would be ideal for your session.

What should we wear and how many clothing changes can we have?

Always wear something you are comfortable in. Keep it simple, avoiding patterns that will compete with your eyes. Always choose at least one outfit that is your eye color. In general, we do not recommend sleeveless tops, or tops that are low-cut. Work with your family to choose a few outfits that flatter you. We recommend 2-4 clothing changes and do not charge by number of changes or poses.

When is a good time to set an appointment with you?

We book a limited number of senior sessions each week, so it is good to call as soon as you know you'd like to work with us. Senior photography typically begins in May and goes through October. You need to consider the date your yearbook picture is due to your school. We will provide a digital image to your yearbook advisor.
